Preamble
Food recovery is one of the most impactful actions an organization can take — reducing waste, feeding communities, and protecting the environment. But without a standard for verification, recovery claims remain unverifiable.
The RF-100 establishes a clear, auditable definition of what constitutes a verified recovery. It ensures that every recovery on the GleanProof network can be independently confirmed, publicly recorded, and trusted by any party — regulators, auditors, partners, and the public.
A recovery may be claimed. A recovery may be reported. A recovery may be audited. But a recovery is only verified when it satisfies RF-100.

2. Verified Recovery Receipt
The proof document
A receipt is the cryptographic proof that a recovery event occurred. Receipts are immutable once issued.

3. Verified Registry Entry
The permanent public record
A registry entry is the final, auditable record. Once entered, it becomes part of the public recovery record.

Verification Levels
RF-100 distinguishes between four levels of recovery documentation. Only RF-100 Verified recoveries are included in the public registry.
A recovery has been reported but not independently verified.
A recovery has been documented with supporting evidence.
A recovery has been reviewed by an authorized auditor.
A recovery satisfies all RF-100 requirements. This is the gold standard.
Trust Chain Sequence
Every RF-100 verified recovery produces an ordered, timestamped trust chain. Each event must be recorded in sequence for the recovery to be considered verified.
RF-100 Compliance
Organizations that consistently produce RF-100 verified recoveries are eligible for GleanProof Certification. Certification level is determined by recovery volume, verification quality, and RF-100 compliance rate.
